Dear Fairwold Community,

Fairwold Academy continues our dedication to the health, quality care and safety for all students and staff. An announcement from Governor Tom Wolf declared COVID-19 cases are at an all-time high.  Pennsylvania residents have been restricted with additional, temporary mitigation measures that have gone into effect Saturday, December 12th and will remain in place until after January 4th, 2021.  Fairwold Academy will continue with a fully virtual program until further notice.

The consistent and steady rise of COVID cases, including positive cases within our school community, has made decisions to return to a hybrid instruction model difficult to predict.  We will not announce a hybrid reopen date until January, as we seek guidance from our local Department of Health and PHMC Total Quality Management.

When a return date is announced, we will continue preventive and precautionary measures based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Philadelphia Department of Public Health

Virtual is Personal at Fairwold Academy and we will continue to work with families to secure educational options for students and to work together to navigate the evolving COVID-19 situation.

The next virtual Parent Town Hall is scheduled for Wednesday, January 27th at 6:30pm.

Thank you for your continued partnership in your student's education.

Dr. Maria Kreiter, Executive Director
